“Shout out to all the women out
there who are loving themselves
in a world constantly telling
them not to.”

For this week’s Wednesday Wisdom, I wanted to discuss three lessons based on some women who have been trending in social media I call WCW (Women Crush Wednesday). Although everyone has their own opinions, the popular social media post shows a pretty picture/video and an uplifting comment praising them. This can be your mom, cousin, sister, auntie, best-friend, celebrity, or any other female. However, the idea of what makes the women of WCW attractive is beyond looks.
I applaud women in general because we do not need a particular day to be praised. But praise be to the woman who uplifts another because what you do as a woman reflects others especially on social media.

“I AM HURT AND TRAMAUTIZED”
Megan thee Stallion, spoke out on the incident and says in a tweet, "Black women are so unprotected & we hold so many things in to protect the feelings of others w/o considering our own. It might be funny to yall on the internet and just another messy topic for you to talk about, but this is my real life. And I am real life hurt and traumatized”.
QU’S THREE LESSONS
NEVER BE ALONE WITH A PERSON YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE WITH
Never hang out with someone you are not too comfortable with. You know the feeling, so if your conscience is hinting on you to get out. Then, GET OUT GIRL!
VIOLENCE IS NOT THE ANSWER
Listen up, never allow someone to physically abuse you with intention to harm or by jokingly accident. Violence is not something to play with and no one deserve domestic abuse.
BUST A MOVE
If the situation that you are in is surrounded by negative energy, try to leave as soon as possible. Do not stay and endure what is going on. Protect your energy at all cost.

“THE ENTANGLEMENT”
The most trending topic on social media now is the tri-love circle between actor Will Smith, Red Talk Table show-host Jada Pinket Smith (also Will Smith’s wife), and singer August Alsina. In an interview with Angela Yee, August discussed the past affair he had with Jada. August claimed him and Jada were more. The artist even said Will gave him permission to purse romantic intimacy with Jada.
On the Red Talk Table show, Jada describes the affair with August as “entanglement”. During the time her and her husband Will were going through rough times and separated. Yet, Jada was open to talking about it and explains she is moving on her own wave.
QU’S THREE LESSONS
LEARN CO-DEPENDENCE WITHOUT LOSING YOUR INDEPENDENCE
It is ok to depend on a loved one but do not put all your weight on that person. Strengthen yourself and build the self-love to carry yourself throughout life.
BE OPEN TO TAKING THE HURT AND MOVING ON
Sometimes, life is going to take you on a roller-coaster ride of hardships and joyous moments. Your feelings are going to get hurt. Do not stay still, move on.
EMOTIONAL IMMATURITY IS AN INSECURITY
Losing control of your emotions can get out of hand especially when it hurts your feelings. Be open to the hurt, feel it, understand it, and learn from it but don't allow your emotions to make your decisions for you.

“PLEASE HELP ME”
In the past year, Tamar threatened to end her own life several times. Thankfully, the message was heard loud and clear by her family and boyfriend and they took the situation very seriously. The singer tweeted "I am a slave. I do not own my life. My stories. My pictures. My thoughts or beliefs. I’ve asked my massa to free me. I’m threatened and punished for it The only way I see out is death. I will choose that before I continue to love like this. Please help me."
QU’S THREE LESSONS
HAVE A SUPPORT TEAM
Surround yourself with a positive atmosphere that will uplift you or find something/someone that you trust to give the emotional support when things get hard for you.
IF IT BROKE YOU GO SEEK HELP
Prayer, mediation, listening to music, working out, and therapy are some examples of what helps decrease stress and anxiety. If you are carrying brokenness, seek healing. Do not remain mentally/emotionally broken.
DEATH IS NOT OURS TO TAKE
Death is never the answer to any hardship. Do not take your own life! Understand that healing from hurt takes time and we are more valuable alive than dead.
