Royal Melanin

The royal couple, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's interview
with Oprah Winfrey has made the royal palace angry and continues. The Duke and
Duchess of Sussex shocked the world with their recent interview with Oprah
Winfrey making claims that the royal family is racist.
In the interview, Meghan said she had suicidal thoughts and
that there were "concerns and conversations" within the royal family
about how dark her son Archie's skin might be. Other allegations reported that
the Duchess of Sussex faced bullying made by one of her close advisers during
her time as a working royal at Kensington Palace.
Prince Harry went as far as to say that his father and
brother are "trapped". But regardless of how hot and tense things
are, Prince Harry made it a priority to honor their later mother Princess Diana
on what was Mother's Day in the U.K. on March 14 with Prince William. Then to
turn their backs by the end of the day to go their separate ways and feeding
the destruction of their brotherly relationship to a cruel monarchy.
The royals and their staffs have denied these various claims
and expressed their disappointment about the allegations coming from Prince
Harry and his wife.
Yet, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan have moved out of the
palace for what they called for the "safety of their family".
It is a shame, isn't it? Yet to me not shocking at all.
Throughout the chaotic drama, the mention of the late Prince Diana and her time
here on Earth came up. The similarities in bullying and side-eyes from the
royal family and the authorities in charge towards someone who is
"different" is a common story.
The concern with Archie's skin color was probably the limit
for Prince Harry and Meghan and I agree. It is about the individual, their
character, attitude, and mindset. Society spends time-wasting being concerned
about skin color and race. Let us work on caring for Mother Earth, building
communities, and living the true definition of equality for all.
