I Made a Oopsie but I don’t care
DaniLeigh's posted snippets of a new song called
"Yellow Bone" to social media this month and most people commented
saying DaniLeigh has an issue of colorism.
Now, musical artist Chika pointed out some important insight
on DaniLeigh's first apology and how careless Dani's initial apology tweets
were, saying she should know more about the subject and why her
"haters" response would not sit well with a Black audience.
DaniLeigh later felt like posting another 2nd apology message
for the unreleased song and her reaction to criticism. In the apology, she
brought up how she is dating DaBaby, who she calls a "chocolate man"
and makes references to her "dark-skinned" friends."
Now The New York Times itself has called this issue the
"I have black friends" myth as a tactic to excuse racist behavior.
This makes a good point DaniLeigh did not think before she publicly made her
comment.
Just because you have black people around you, does not make
up for the racist comments. Using Black culture or any other culture/ethnicity
to promote your passion, should always be uplifting. If anything takes time to
learn before you go off looking like BOO-BOO the FOOL.
